Both robots are good in removing dirt and dust particles on hard floors and carpets and can move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that help the i3+ navigate and clean up efficiently. The i3+ doesn't feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots we test. It can be stuck on power cords or socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces, like carpet and hardwood.
iRobot recommends that you tidy the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it might come across. Also, keep the filters and dust bin free of dirt to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO’s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and automatically takes the dirt out of the docking station’s external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning where it left off. Battery life is about an hour and a half of constant usage. It takes three hours to charge.
2. IRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model of the flagship line from iRobot and is equipped with the most recent features. It is self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most significant feature is the self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for regular maintenance.
The Roomba i7+ is able to remember up to 10 floor plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that lets it map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot with voice or via the app.
In our testing the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our runner-up, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surface types, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying which removes a major source of maintenance and cuts down on the amount of time spent cleaning.

The specialized head uses rigid nylon bristles to drive deep into carpets and pick up large dust or crumbs. It comes with three suction modes that can be adjusted to suit the task. It is able to swiftly switch from handheld to floor vacuum, and vice versa.
The model comes with a dock which charges the Dyson to 100% in 3.5 hours. It also provides an easy access to two attachments and a wand. This is a huge improvement over older Dysons which require a long charge and are difficult to store.
The main drawback of the V10 is its limited running time. The tests conducted by CR show that its claims to run up to 60 minutes are a bit misleading. This is a typical and not a remarkable time to run the battery-powered cordless vacuum. It's enough time to vacuum the average-sized home but not enough to get into every corner. (A second time usually works). This model has its own advantages however: it's light and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior on low-pile floor carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's a great choice for those who don't have a lot of money to spend on a robot. It's capable of sucking up all types of debris and sizes during our testing, and it often passes over the same areas several times to get a really thorough clean. Its flat front side helps it reach into corners and along the walls' edges which is a nice addition.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt technology to avoid obstacles and help you navigate your home. However, it isn't equipped with the capabilities for mapping of more advanced models, such as our top picks, i3+EVO and j7+ Series. It is prone to getting stuck on phone cords or low furniture and is often unable to supply power before returning to its home base.

The app offers a variety of options to customize your robotic cleaner. These include virtual barriers, mopping levels and behavior customizations docking frequency settings and much more. The app is simple to navigate and use, just like other Samsung devices.
In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it removed 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). However, it did not do particularly well at avoiding larger objects, like cords and socks, which was disappointing. It's also more expensive than the other models we tested, which might be a problem for some buyers.

The app makes it possible to manually steer the robot when needed. For instance my living room rug has a darkly colored border that tends to make it difficult for other robots I've tried. The HRV 425BL, however was able to continue to move across the border without registering the high point. Also, the ability to set up a weekly cleaning schedule is a fantastic time-saving feature.
